Next weekend is Local 453's annual camping trip! Bring your family and friends and join us for a weekend of camping, floating, swimming, and camaraderie outside now that it's finally cooled down! Primitive riverfront campsites will be available from 5pm on Oct. 2 to 12pm on Oct. 4. Call the hall to RSVP @ (417)869-7251

The campsite will have:
-Potable Water for filling bottles and cooking
-Some electrical outlets (first come first serve)
-Swimming hole
-Plenty of Campsites

What to bring:
-Food and Refreshments
-Tent and other camping gear
-Canoe and paddles
-Anything else you want! (nothing illegal)

Thank you to everyone who showed up for Labor Day! The parade and picnic were a hit! It’s important to remember that everyday workers organized to change their lives and their families lives. Labor Day commemorates and remembers how much we had to fight for the end of child labor, the 8-hour workday, overtime pay, and many more reforms in our country. Local 453 will continue our efforts to make workers’ lives better and better with every passing day ⚡️

⚡Attention all IBEW 453 members!⚡We will be walking in the Labor Day parade again this year, but our staging area is a little different. Parade staging and participant parking will be located along Grant Street and in the JFK Stadium parking lot. All members get a free IBEW Labor Day t-shirt, and candy to throw will be provided! Staging will begin at 9:00am and the parade will start at 10:30am on Monday September 7th. A picnic and car show will be open to the public afterwards. Join us on Labor Day to celebrate all the accomplishments of all the dedicated union members across the country!

The deposit will be refunded as long as you attend 5 out of 6 classes. Whether you're trying to pass your code test or just looking for a refresher, we'd love to have you in class!
