A few more smiles from our first week enjoying the NEW ADA-accessible playground! And here’s to many more memories that have yet to be made! 🛝 💙💚

THE WAIT IS OVER! 🎉💙

The smiles say it all! 🥹 This week, our kids finally got to PLAY on our brand-new ADA-accessible playground! And let me tell you… it was worth the wait! 🛝💫

So many months of dreaming, planning, fundraising, and hard work went into making this happen—and seeing our kids run, climb, swing, explore, and, most importantly, play together has made it all worth it. 💙

This playground is more than just new equipment. It’s a place where EVERY child has the opportunity to play, belong, and be included. ❤️

A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, fundraised, supported, and cheered this project on. This truly was a community effort, and our kids are the lucky ones!

The smiles, laughter, and excitement this week have been the BEST reward. 🥰🛝💙

We finally have the playground—and it’s pretty incredible! 🎉

Playground Update! 🛝✨

Just look at that playground! 😍 It’s getting SO exciting to see everything coming together, and we can’t wait for our students and community to enjoy it!

BUT… we’re not quite ready for you yet! 🚧

Please continue to stay out of the construction area and OFF the playground equipment until we give the official green light. There is still work being done, and staying out keeps everyone safe and helps the project stay on track.

We promise—it’ll be worth the wait! 💙

GCCF Chair, Adam Bentley, visited the new playground at the Gladbrook Reinbeck School District! They've made great progress, and the playground equipment is nearing completion.

The Grundy County Community Foundation is a proud funder of this project. Congrats G-R PTO!

📚✨ Teacher Wish Lists Are Here! ✨📚

The beginning of a new school year is right around the corner, and we know many of you are already out shopping for school supplies, getting ready for back-to-school, or simply thinking about ways to show some extra appreciation to the amazing teachers who pour so much into our kids.

So…we put together a G-R Teacher Wish List! 📝🍎

If you’re looking for a little welcome-to-the-school-year gift, an early Christmas idea, a classroom pick-me-up, or just a “thank you for all you do” surprise, you can check out the lists our teachers have shared below! Some have specific classroom items, while others have shared fun ideas or things they could use throughout the year.

There is absolutely NO expectation to purchase anything—these are simply ideas for anyone who feels inclined to give a little extra. Every classroom, every teacher, and every family is different, and we know our G-R community supports our schools in so many wonderful ways already! 💙

Whether it’s a pack of markers, a classroom supply, a gift card, something from a teacher’s wishlist, or simply a kind note letting them know they’re appreciated…it all means something. 🥰

We truly have the BEST communities, families, and parents, and we are so grateful for the way you continue to support our students and staff!

Here’s to another amazing year at G-R!

🚧 Exciting News! 🚧

The wait is finally over… playground installation begins TODAY! 🎉 We are so excited to see our new inclusive playground start to come together and can’t wait to welcome students back to enjoy it this school year.

As exciting as it will be to watch it take shape, we have one very important request: PLEASE stay out of the construction area and OFF the playground equipment until we announce that it is officially open.

While the equipment will quickly start looking complete and inviting, it is NOT safe to use yet. Crews will be working throughout this week, with the pour-in-place surfacing being installed over the next week or two. The playground is still an active construction zone.

At this time, fencing cannot be installed until the concrete for the playground footings has been poured, so we’re asking for your help in keeping everyone safe by staying away from the area until the project is fully completed and inspected.

We know it’s hard to wait, but we’re in the home stretch! Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support as we finish this incredible project. We promise the wait will be worth it, and we’ll let everyone know as soon as it’s safe to play! 💙

THANK YOU to every family, business, and organization who helped make our new playground a reality! We can’t wait to see kids out enjoying this new equipment when school starts!
