UNICO – ITALIAN MOVIE MATINEE
and NEW MEMBER INDUCTION
“Never Too Late for Love – Astolfo” a film in Italian with English subtitles was viewed on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 18, at the Saint Edmond Prish Hall in Rehoboth Beach. Tickets ($20 per person) also provided pizza, by Nicola Pizza of Lewes, DE, snacks and beverages. One lucky attendee via a 50/50 raffle won $132; another won 2 tickets to an afternoon of football to view the playoffs, a lunch and a dinner buffet, and an opportunity to win cash prizes and two tickets plus expenses to California and Super Bowl 2026 sponsored by the Delaware Police Chief’s Foundation.
Seven new Rehoboth Area Chapter members were inducted by UNICO National 2nd VP, Steve Calantone a guest at the event from New Jersey, who traveled to Rehoboth along with his wife Julie Anne, to represent the National Office and to meet chapter members.
The proceeds from this event will provide Easter Baskets and gift cards to homeless children in the Lewes/Rehoboth area, and will also support the “CARNEVALE 2026” benefiting the Cape Henlopen Food Basket.
Upcoming events in March: A Cooley’s Anemia Symposium and Presentation of the Chapter Scholarship (March, 19th); Annual Blessing and Distribution of Bread to honor Saint Joseph’s Day.
