REGISTRATION IS OPEN‼

Anyone who would like to register for the Scarecrow Contest is free to start registering NOW!

Registration ends October 20th; all submissions must be completed by October 20th because voting will begin October 21st.

All Scarecrows do not need to be out the entire voting period, we ask pictures of your scarecrow be included with registration or emailed to [email protected]. That way during voting all voters can see pictures of your wonderful creations. 🎃

We had a blast at the Reedsport 5K Salmon Run! 🎉

Excited to see so many community members participate, from families to individuals, and many who joined from the surrounding areas.

We had a chance to meet up with Mayor Linda McCollum, Reedsport Police Department, and Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

Special thanks to our Reedsport Main Street Program Board President, Kathy Booker, for taking the lead and partnering with Stephanie, Kaley, and Deanna from Lower Umpqua Hospital to make this a successful event!

Harbor Light Restaurant

Some meals feel like they belong to a certain stretch of road, and this is one of them. You can almost picture folks coming in after a long drive, ready for a hot plate, a booth, and a break from the weather.

The big windows and waterfront setting give it that coastal Oregon feel without trying too hard. It looks like the kind of spot where you’d linger over coffee, watch the light change, and maybe order one more thing than you planned.

Places like this are part of what makes a town feel lived in. I’m glad there are still restaurants that can hold onto that feeling.

Hi, Reedsport! I’m Emily Leidecker, and I’m so excited to introduce myself as your new Reedsport Main Street Director! 🎉

My husband and I moved to the area in May after he was stationed at U.S. Coast Guard Station Umpqua River in Wi******er Bay. While I’m newer to the Reedsport community, I’m already so excited to call this area home and become more involved.

I’m originally from North Carolina, where I had the opportunity to be involved with several Main Street programs. Through those experiences, I helped plan community events, volunteered my time, and gained a deeper appreciation for the work that brings people together and helps create vibrant, welcoming downtowns.

Community involvement and volunteering have always been a passion of mine, so I’m incredibly excited to continue that work here in Reedsport. I’m looking forward to meeting local business owners, community members, volunteers, and organizations, and learning more about the people and businesses that make this community so special.

I’m grateful for the warm welcome I’ve already received and excited about the opportunity to work alongside all of you to support and strengthen our downtown.

I can’t wait to get to know Reedsport and see what we can accomplish together!
