On this Peace Officers Memorial Day, we take time to reflect on the weight of this profession and those we’ve lost along the way.

Today, we honor Deputies Hector Cuevas, Jr. and Andrew Nunez.

There are no words that ever make days like this easier. The loss is something we carry together. Their legacy now lives alongside so many others who gave everything in service to their communities and today we also honor all of our fallen heroes.

We stand with their families today. We remember the men behind the badge, the way they showed up for this job, and for each of us.

May is a meaningful time for law enforcement and our SEBA family. It’s when we come together to honor the lives and sacrifices of our fallen deputies and stand beside the families who continue to carry that loss every day.

In this month’s President’s Message, Alisha Rosa reflects on why remembrance matters and what it means to truly show up for those who gave everything. This year, Alisha will also participate in the Police Unity Tour, riding in honor of our fallen and helping ensure their names and sacrifices are never forgotten.
