Alex is our new Clara’s Closet & Guest Services Coordinator, and we couldn’t be happier to officially have her on board! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Like so many members of the Lunch Break family, Alex’s journey with us began as a volunteer. That means she already knows firsthand the heart of our organization, the importance of our mission and the incredible community we serve. Her experience, combined with her background in fashion and her passion for helping others, makes her a wonderful fit for Clara’s Closet and Guest Services. 🙌

As Alex settles into her new role, please take a moment to welcome her, wish her well and support her in any way you can as she makes the position her own. ☺️

A fun fact about Alex: She loves to garden! And when she’s not doing that, she’s probably spending time with her 3-year-old French Bulldog, Brandy! 🐾

We are so grateful to the entire RBR Gymnastics Team for their incredible generosity and support of Lunch Break! 🙌

As part of their annual fundraiser, donors receive a delicious Mike’s Crumb Cake with their donation. Donors who choose not to keep their cake can generously donate it to Lunch Break and this year, we received 50 crumb cakes! 🎂💙

The entire RBR Gymnastics Team works together on this fundraiser, raising nearly $15,000 each year to support their team. We are so grateful that they chose to share a portion of that generosity with our community! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

A special thank you to Kelly Barrett, President of RBR Gymnastics, and one of the team members for stopping by Lunch Break to deliver this wonderful donation. We appreciate you thinking of our guests and helping make a difference! ☺️

It was an inspiring and meaningful opportunity for Lunch Break to join Senator Cory Booker and fellow leaders from New Jersey’s food banks for a food security roundtable focused on the human impact of recent federal policy changes. 🙌

Lunch Break President & CEO Gwendolyn Love, shared our perspective from the front lines, what we are seeing in our community and what these changes mean for the families and individuals we serve every day. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

These conversations matter. Food insecurity is not simply about access to food, it is about dignity, stability, safety and the ability of families to thrive.

We are grateful to Senator Booker for creating space for community leaders to share what we are seeing on the ground and to advocate for the people and families who depend on vital resources across New Jersey. 💙

Together, we remain committed to making sure every person has access to food, support and hope.

Kelly Mackie is making a real difference and supporting Lunch Break! 🙌

She is a local teacher who collects donation each month (July = Baby items, August = School supplies, Sept = Canned good) in addition, she collects birthday cake kit supplies every month to support local organizations. She has a stand at the end of her driveaway and it is, "Take what you need," process that is open all day, every day! WOW! 🤩

In August, her gym held a donation drive for kits and provided over 60 kits to Lunch Break!

Thank you for your support, Kelly, you are an example to everyone in our community!
