May be a little hard to see, so you’ll have to zoom in! It’s floating right in the middle of Hemlock Lake. Not sure if it’s someone’s roped-off swimming area or what. Regardless, boaters beware.

If you were up last night watching the lunar eclipse, you might have spotted a few shooting stars, too! If you’re up for it, tonight’s sky could have another spectacular show in store. So keep looking up—you never know what you might see!

Resident Mike sent this amazing picture of the moon at 5:30 a.m. Thursday morning. Then, Thursday evening, someone else captured this incredible picture of the lunar eclipse! 🌙✨

Member Mike shared this beautiful photo from the east side of Long Lake. What a stunning sunset!

As the seasons begin to change, the sunset is making its gradual journey back to the south. On June 21—the longest day of the year—the sun was setting almost in the center of this view. Before long, it will be setting on the other side of the wooded peninsula.

It’s a beautiful reminder that the seasons are always changing. While it’s a little sad to think that summer is slowly winding down, we can certainly appreciate evenings like this and soak up every sunset while we can.

The Canadian wildfire smoke has finally reached our area. Yesterday it didn’t seem too bad, but today it’s definitely noticeable.

If you have asthma, COPD, or other breathing or heart conditions, it’s highly recommended that you stay indoors as much as possible and limit outdoor activity until the air quality improves.

Please keep an eye on children, older adults, and anyone with respiratory issues, and check on neighbors who may be more vulnerable. Hopefully, we’ll see some cleaner air soon. Stay safe, everyone!

Event Cancellation Notice

Due to the poor air quality, which remains at a hazardous level, Kimball Camp has made the difficult decision to cancel this event out of concern for everyone’s health and safety.

They appreciate your understanding and encourage everyone to stay safe by limiting outdoor activities until air quality improves. Kimball Camp looks forward to seeing you at a future community event.

What a great opportunity to see everything Kimball Camp Outdoor Center has to offer! Kids will have the chance to try out the exciting water activities, conquer the Goliath Rock Wall, and experience all the fun that makes camp so special. Whether they’re exploring for the first time or returning for another adventure, it’s sure to be a day filled with fun and unforgettable memories!
