Hemlock Beach Association (HBA) was organized in 1962 to promote the residential interests of those living around Carpenter, Hemlock and Long lakes. HBA has two meetings a year at Kimball Camp. Some of the goals HBA strives to achieve are: Keeping the members informed of issues that impact them, stocking the lakes with fish,, water quality testing, E-mail notification of power outages/high water l

evels/high wind damage, providing a dumpster day, scheduling an annual lake cleanup and subscriptions to the quarterly Riparian Magazine.

May 24th Bass season opens (Prior to this date all bass must be immediately released)

May 25th Monday Memorial Day

June 6th HBA meeting @ Kimball Camp @ 9:00am

June 13-14th Michigan free fishing weekend (no fishing license required but all other laws apply)

June 21st 1st day of Summer

June 27th Dumpster Day 8:30am-10:30am or full (whichever comes 1st)

July 4th Saturday (Independence Day)

July 18th 1-4pm Community Lake Event hosted by Kimball Camp @ Kimball Camp

August 1st HBA meeting @ Kimball Camp @ 9:00am

Hello! A blue barrel, like those used for floating rafts or docks, washed up on the shore of Carpenter Lake during recent night’s rain and wind. It’s currently on the beach at 2720 Ginger Hill.
