Our Mission

Eagles Community Outreach strives to help families in Cass County to make ends meet, by providing their essential needs. Many families work and make to much to receive assistance from other programs. By providing the essential needs it is our hope that families will be able to save enough money to pay their everyday expenses.

Jack went up to Jaegers Paintball in the caves and picked up this barrel full of canned goods! Jaegers is running a promotion for people to receive a discount if you bring in a nonperishable food item. This week our volunteer spotlight is shining on Miss Marcie!

Marcie has been employed at a local catering company for 5 years and enjoys making other people’s events memorable and special. She is also known as the “Queen” of Charcuterie Boards, which is an absolute talent and art in itself!

Animals have a very special place in Marcie’s heart. She has 3 dogs of her own, which has inspired our Pet Pantry section. Clients can come in and pick out cat/dog food, treats and toys!

When Marcie is not stocking and overseeing the Pet Pantry, you can find her helping at the front desk and chatting with clients.

The question was asked why do you volunteer? Her reply was that she enjoys working with her mom Crystal, making new friends and helping others.

Marcie, your kind heart and willingness to help others, makes you a wonderful addition to the ECO family. We truly do appreciate you!

Our good friend Dave came by this afternoon and dropped off a few food items from the Belton Senior Center. Then he decided to share his special talent with us and brought in his banjo! He played a couple songs for us and we all loved it. Thank you, Dave, for blessing us today- what fun!

This week our volunteer spotlight is shining brightly on Miss Tracy!

Before Tracy retired, she worked in medical management and consulting. Her heart has always been about improving the lives of others.

Tracy is a burst of enthusiasm! You may find her sorting clothes, organizing, or helping clients, but she always has a smile and a positive approach that is contagious.

Recently, Tracy and her husband sold their house and moved into their new home. They are empty nesters which allows them to travel occasionally and chase their dreams.

When Tracy was asked why she volunteers, she said being retired she wanted to do something fulfilling, and she loves helping people.

Tracy, we are so grateful to have you as a volunteer! Your giving spirit is making a huge difference. Thank you for being a part of Eagles Community Outreach!

This week our volunteer spotlight is shining on Miss Carla!

Carla is one of our newer volunteers, and we are so fortunate that she found her way to us! She started out assisting in the food room and sorting jewelry, but quickly has branched out to assisting clients and helping at the front desk.

She worked as a dietary supervisor at a senior living center and took care of her dad prior to that. Carla has several enthusiastic interests and hobbies which include football, cooking and gardening.

When Carla was asked why she volunteers she said that she loves helping others and giving back. She added that it’s a great way to meet people in the community.

Carla is definitely a team player and we are thrilled to have her on our team! Welcome to the E.C.O. family!

Pastor Kelly and Pastor McClain from Crossroads Methodist Church, dropped off this generous donation of food to not only feed families in our community, but extended it to include their beloved pets! The church and its members are doing “Dog Days of Summer” pet food drive during the month of August. Now, when clients come in to shop for their needs, they can also bring home some goodies for their fur babies! Thank you Crossroads Church for helping to make this service available!

This melts our hearts! Evelyn and Kendall ran a lemonade stand this summer. They could have kept the money they earned, but instead they decided to divided their proceeds between Eagles Community Outreach and Wayside Waifs! Thanks you girls for having such huge hearts and for thinking of others! ❤️
