Our team enjoyed attending Celebrate Portage last week. The event was a wonderful reminder of just how much there is to celebrate in Portage County.

At the heart of this community are its people: neighbors who show up for one another, partners who work together to solve problems, volunteers who serve, and individuals who give their time and talents to something bigger than themselves.

People are what make Portage County special. We’re grateful for the many people who strengthen our communities and help make this a place we’re proud to call home.

Congratulations to all of this year’s award winners, and thank you for the difference you make every day.

Today we celebrate Brad Ehrhart and his 15 years of service and dedication at PDB. As the President at the Portage Development Board, Brad has strengthened our community, advocated for our mission, and built lasting relationships. We are truly thankful for all he has done for Portage County.

A big part of the Portage Development Board’s work is simply making connections. We bring the right people together, share resources, and create opportunities for businesses to learn from one another and from local experts.

We recently hosted two events focused on topics relevant to businesses across Portage County:

Ohio Technician Path + TechCred Webinar:
In partnership with Team NEO, we discussed the Ohio Technician Path and updates to the TechCred program. If you missed it, the recording is available in our Video Vault: https://www.portagedevbd.org/video-vault/

Operations Workshop:
We also brought business leaders together for conversations around artificial intelligence and government procurement. This event was sponsored by The Portage Foundation and Keystone Technology Consultants.

Although each event covered different topics, they share a common thread: connecting people with information and each other to help address the challenges they’re facing.
