Wake County is experiencing a renewed heatwave this week and has activated cooling stations through at least Aug. 11 to help residents stay safe, urging everyone to stay hydrated, seek air‑conditioned spaces, and follow extreme‑heat precautions.

We are in need of some more volunteers this weekend. We do allow children under 13 to volunteer alongside an adult and we do also sign for school volunteer hours.
