We have fully stocked the food pantry at the Hoke County Public Library!! There is plenty of dog & cat food. Please only grab what you need & let’s make sure the community has plenty to choose from until next time. 🐾🩷

Also- the people food donations were very low so if anyone is able to drop some food on the shelves please do so! The library is open Monday thru Friday 8am-6pm & Saturday 8am-1pm.

💔 Meet Trudy 💔 URGENT!!!!

According to the shelter, when Trudy first arrived at the shelter, she was absolutely terrified. She would run and hide at the smallest movement, trembling and unsure of the world around her.
This sweet girl has slowly come out of her shell and is now showing her true loving personality. 💕

Trudy is estimated to be a 1–2 year old terrier mix, medium in size, and she still has her whole life ahead of her. She is doing wonderfully with other dogs and would likely thrive in a home with canine friends or a patient adopter willing to continue building her confidence.

Scarlett is a beautiful approximately 5 year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix who has quickly stolen the hearts of everyone she meets. She is gentle, mellow, calm, and soft-natured. Scarlett doesn’t ask for much… just a quiet place, a kind hand, and someone to finally call her own. ❤️

**Scarlett will have a reduced adoption fee as she is already spayed and ready to go home!!

He has a reduced adoption fee as he is already neutered and micro chipped.

This sweet old man (they’re calling him Vinny) was found as a stray, and now desperately needs a place to call home.

He was adopted many years ago from a shelter that has since closed down. Thankfully, he is microchipped — however, all phone numbers connected to the chip have been disconnected, leaving the shelter with no way to contact his family. Sadly nobody has come looking for him at the shelter, and now he is available to adopt.

Shoutout to our wonderful manager/director Kristi for getting a much deserved vacation next week and we wish her a relaxing time away!! With that said, summer is here and so are cats and dogs puppies and kittens! We are asking for any volunteers willing to come help us out next week being short staffed in the mornings. We will comment underneath all days and if you are able to come help mainly in the cat room and washing dishes, we would greatly appreciate it!! Thank you 🙏

It's time to restock the Little Free Pantry at Hoke County Public Library

Dog and cat food available in limited supply to those in need.

**We ask that if you are utilizing the pantry, to please not wipe out the shelves in one visit. We are happy to be barrier free, but we do want to be sure that there is enough to go around.
If you find that you are in need of more sustainable assistance - please reach out and we'll do our best to help guide you to more/better resources. 💜

As you can see in the picture, human food donations are needed to help restock, and we are always accepting dog and cat food for the pet food shelves. You can leave it there yourself, or reach out to us and we can arrange to pick up. :)

Hey friends and neighbors! Just wanted to remind y'all that Holiday weekends are often some of the most likely times to lose a pet.
Make sure you're keeping an eye on your fur babies during any weekend gatherings, and if you happen to find someone's lost pet, we have THREE Self Service Microchip Scanning Stations in Hoke County.

You can utilize these microchip scanning stations 24/7. There are instructions for reporting lost/found pets, and accessing microchip information at each station.
