Yesterday we held our annual SQFD Halloween Drive Thru and it was a huge success!! Our members and their families spent all day decorating and preparing for the almost 200 cars that came through! Our truck bays were transformed into a spooky tunnel in just a matter of hours and many neighboring agencies graciously joined us to pass out candy and other goodies from their BOO-tifully decorated emergency vehicles as well. A big thank you to Queensbury EMS, West Glens Falls Volunteer Fire Company, North Queensbury Volunteer Fire Co., South Glens Falls Fire Company Inc., Kingsbury Volunteer Hose Company, West Glens Falls Emergency Squad, Inc, and Fort Edward Rescue Squad for helping us offer a safe and fun Halloween event!! We also would like to thank Sid Harvey's Wholesale Distributors for making a generous donation to support this event, once again. Last but not least, a very important thank you to everyone who came through or helped to spread the word!

🌟BUT NOW... the votes are in for the agency with the best decorations for the 2026 Halloween Drive-Thru. And the winner is... *drum roll, please*... QUEENSBURY EMS!! Kingsbury Fire was our runner up but every agency put in time, effort, and money to creatively decorate their vehicles, provide manpower (with some great costumes), and purchase items to hand out. It definitely takes teamwork and good communication between agencies to make community events like this so successful. We can't wait until next year and we will be sure to post a picture when Queensbury EMS receives their award!! 🏆
