Behind the Camouflage, an initiative by the Marine Corps Association, provides essential resources, education, and support for Marine spouses and families.

Launched in 2024, the Behind the Camouflage initiative by the Marine Corps Association aims to bridge gaps in Marine Corps resources for spouses and families by offering essential education and support. Through its core pillars—website, spouse summits, articles, awards, advocacy, and podcast—Behind the Camouflage strengthens the Marine Corps and fosters connection across the community.

A new way to log in to MHS GENESIS is coming. Beginning Sept. 23, the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal will transition from DS Logon to myAuth, offering a simpler and more secure way to access your health information from military hospitals and clinics.

With myAuth, you can log in using a CAC, username and password with multi-factor authentication, or Okta Verify. If you don’t already have a myAuth account, the new login page will guide you through the setup process.

Military spouses, mark your calendars!

The National Military Spouse Network is hosting the 2026 Military Spouse Career Summit, Sept. 28–Oct. 2. This virtual event will feature sessions focused on professional development, career branding, networking, entrepreneurship, mentorship, and navigating career growth alongside military life.

The Summit is open to military spouses in active-duty and veteran households in the U.S. and worldwide.

An in-person networking event, Future Ready: Building Careers Without Borders, will also take place Sept. 30 in Pentagon City, Arlington, Virginia.
