The Community Disciples, Inc. would like to shout out Cody Hooks, tournament director, of the 2026 Dotson Days Bearcat Dust Bowl and Youth Dust Bowl in historic Dotson Park. Cody was recognized as the Unsung Hero at the annual Community Disciples Banquet and Awards dinner Thursday night for his selfless service in stepping up and directing the event since 2022. Congratulations to the winners of the youth and adult tournaments! Thank you to all the teams who participated; refs Cody, Demetrius, Zavy, and Houston; all who helped at the scorer’s table; and the community who came out to support and take in some great basketball action. “Once a Bearcat always a Bearcat!”

Several members had other engagements, but those of us who were able to make it enjoyed great food, great fellowship, and great fun! We are looking forward to serving the youth, elderly, and needy in our community in 2026.

We were elated to participate in the Christmas Cookie Walk yesterday. All proceeds went to Create Princeton. We are excited about all the things they do for the community. These are some of the delectable items on our table. However, there were delightful treats on all the tables in the CLC. We look forward to participating again in 2026.
