Furoshiki: Japanese Fabric Wrapping. This beautiful art form involves directional wrapping/knotting with colorful fabric for gift presentation or simply carrying items. We'll learn the history & cultural significance and do some hands-on furoshiki!

Alma Thomas: African American Artist
Her life, her message, her style. Taught by Holly Smith. You'll learn & create a piece of your own to take home.

Huichol: Mexican Yarn Art
This art form and technique uses colorful yarn mounted to a surface with design of your choice. We'll learn about the typical historic depictions and the cultural meaning and participants will create their own piece. Optional: bring a few different brightly colored yarns to share. Taught by Debbie Gallof

Azulejos: Portuguese Mosaic
Portugal is rich with mosaic art. This workshop includes learning some of the history and uses - along with a piece for each student to create and take home. Multiple potential projects. OPTIONAL: Bring black acrylic paint & tweezers for placement. Taught by Debbie Gallof

Chinese Calligraphy:
Simon & Margaret Wong teach some of the history behind the brush strokes and combinations of this beautiful art form. Students will learn the strokes & script a favorite word to take home.
