INTO THE UNKNOWN 🏜️➡️✨

We wrapped up this series with one BIG reminder:

𝗔 𝘀𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗛𝗶𝗺.

Sometimes we get so focused on the destination that we miss what God is doing in the wilderness. We want the healing NOW. The freedom NOW. The breakthrough NOW. We want the shortcut.

But faith isn’t always knowing where you’re going — sometimes faith is simply trusting 𝗪𝗛𝗢 you’re following.

God doesn’t just want to get you somewhere.

He wants to 𝗗𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗟 with you.
He wants to 𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗟 you.
He wants to 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗 you.

So what do we do in the wilderness?

𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 — God has been with you the entire time.

𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗔𝗜𝗡 — If God hasn’t moved, don’t let frustration make you move without Him.

𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗗 — When God says move, move. When God says stay, stay.

Because sometimes following looks like going.
Sometimes it looks like staying.
Sometimes it looks like waiting.
And sometimes it means walking 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 the painful thing instead of taking the shortcut around it.

Last week at YTH: The Golden Calf Dilemma🔥

What happens when we find ourselves waiting on God… but start looking for something else to put our trust in?

In Exodus 32, the Israelites got tired of waiting and created a golden calf — something they could see, control, and depend on. But the problem wasn’t just the idol… it was that they replaced the God who rescued them with something they made themselves.

We all face our own “golden calves” — things we chase for comfort, identity, approval, or control. But God is inviting us to trust Him even when we’re in the unknown.

The waiting seasons aren’t wasted. God is still working, even when we can’t see it yet. 🙌

Don’t settle for something temporary when God is offering something eternal. 🧡

Trauma doesn’t just affect what happened to us—it can change the way we see ourselves, others, and even God.

But God doesn’t minimize our pain or tell us to simply move on. Just as He did for the Israelites, God hears us, sees us, remembers us, and responds to us in the middle of our hurt.

Healing doesn’t mean forgetting what happened. It means being able to say, “Yes, this hurt me—but it no longer controls me.”

Moses was drawn out of the water, and later God used him to lead others through the water into freedom. In the same way, what God draws you out of may become the very place where He uses you to help someone else find healing and hope.

Your pain doesn’t have to define the rest of your story. Invite God into it, allow Him to lead you toward healing—and trust that He can work through even the places that have hurt you. ❤️‍🩹

🏁 THE UNKNOWN | Exodus 16:1–18

Freedom can be right and still be difficult.

When the Israelites became hungry in the wilderness, Egypt began to look better than it really was. They remembered the food—but forgot the chains.

Temptation does the same thing to us. It shows us sin’s menu, but never its chains. It makes old relationships, habits, and lifestyles look comforting while hiding everything God freed us from.

But God didn’t send Israel back to Egypt—He fed them in the wilderness. 🙌

Difficulty after obedience doesn’t mean your obedience was wrong. The God who rescued you will provide what you need to keep moving forward.

Don’t let one hungry moment rewrite the whole story. Don’t turn back. Keep going—the right direction leads to freedom. 🏎️💨

Your words don’t just describe your situation, they can shape how you walk through it.

It’s easy to look at what’s broken and speak from frustration, fear, or defeat. But what if you chose to speak life instead?

“My family is struggling, but God has been faithful.”
“This season is hard, but God has carried me before.”
“I don’t know how this will work out, but I know who God is.”

Speaking life isn’t pretending everything is okay. It’s choosing to let God’s truth have the final word.

When we speak life, we change the temperature of the room and it changes something in us, too.
