Stopped by ArtsWestchester in White Plains this week and honestly it's one of the coolest spaces in the county. Housed in a stunning old bank building on Mamaroneck Avenue, it's a nonprofit art gallery that's been the heartbeat of the arts scene in Westchester for years.

Right now they're running an LGBTQ+ listening library exhibit curated by my friend Christina, who also runs the Hudson Valley Q***r Collective. The space feels like a 70s living room and celebrates LGBTQ+ artists through music and sound in a way you really have to experience for yourself.

With Yonkers Pride Festival happening this Saturday on Main Street and Pride events popping up all across Westchester this month, now is the perfect time to check it out.

Westchester is alive right now. Croton Summerfest was packed this past weekend. So many bars in the county has been packed for the Knicks. World Cup parties are everywhere you look. The 914 has its own energy and this week it's been impossible to ignore.

This Saturday night at Yonkers Brewing, Wheatus, the band behind Teenage Dirtbag, is playing an intimate acoustic set for 300 people. Thomas Ian Nicholas from American Pie opens the night. Knicks Game 5 is on every screen inside and outside on the patio.

$30 gets you inside to sing Teenage Dirtbag while the Knicks win a championship. That moment is only going to happen once. The patio is free and open to everyone.

This is Westchester doing what Westchester does.

Westchester is getting its own Comic Con this weekend and we stopped by Undiscovered Realm's collectibles shop in White Plains to talk to the man behind it.

Chris Wilcock has been running Undiscovered Realm Comic Con New York at the Westchester County Center for years and this Saturday and Sunday, June 13th and 14th, it's back and bigger than ever. Celebrity signings, vendors, artists, cosplay contests, panels, a kids zone with bounce houses and free activities, gaming tournaments, and so much more. Day passes start at $35 and kids 12 and under are free.

And if you're going to the con Saturday, the official after party is at Yonkers Brewing Co. that night. Wheatus acoustic set ("Teenage Dirtbag"), Thomas Ian Nicholas from American Pie opening, doors at 8PM. Tickets at the link.

I'm on a mission to talk to 914 people in the 914! On this episode, we sit down with Emily Gosweiler, founder of Creative Hearts in Dobbs Ferry. We discussed her work with Creative Hearts, spreading arts to the community, the summer camp that they have coming up and more. Definitely a very cool non-profit organization that is worth any Westchester parent checking out!
