Another great Life Skills class!

Yesterday’s class focused on the hiring process and opportunities to grow within the hotel industry.

Thank you to Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn and our speakers Director of Sales Candace Pearson, GM Sean Carlton, and Sales Manager Nicole Jones for sharing their time and experience with our class!

Today’s Life Skills class was a fun one! In honor of National Ice Cream Cone Day, Sterling Bank brought an Ice Cream Truck Challenge for the ladies.

They created their own ice cream truck businesses and worked through choosing customers, deciding where to sell, marketing their business, building partnerships, and making financial decisions.

We ended the afternoon the best way, with ice cream! 🍦 Thank you, Sterling Bank, for spending the day with us and providing such a fun, hands-on class!

Update: The shower chair need has been met! Thank you!! We are still needing a bedside commode.

Helping Hands has a client who recently underwent major surgery and is in need of a shower chair and a bedside commode.

If you have either item in clean, gently used condition that you would be willing to donate, please send us a private message or call us at 573-300-7862. Your generosity would be a tremendous blessing and help make this client’s recovery safer and more comfortable.

Please share to help us meet this need! ❤️
