Congratulations to #1019 PER Ray Magee on his installation to serve as a Grand Lodge officer in the role of District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler for the next year!

Installation was conducted this morning during the closing session of Grand Lodge Convention in Chicago.

The BPOE had much to celebrate at convention. We celebrated all the good work done by 800,000 members in 1600 lodges across the US who have a mission to make a difference in their community! The “Best People on Earth” are a strong force of volunteers that give generously to improve the lives of others.

The City of Pontiac has a great event planned this Saturday to celebrate Independence Day! Children’s activities, a Veteran’s Salute, Live Music, and a fantastic fireworks show! See their event page for all the details.

Our Lodge will be selling food and beverage beginning at 5PM. CASH sales only!

Pontiac Lodge #1019 is proud to be a major sponsor of the fireworks show. The Order of Elks is distinctly American, and one of our missions is to quicken the spirit the American patriotism! What better way than being part of a big bang fireworks celebration!

Our Lodge partnered with Broken Together last weekend to host the inaugural Red White & Glow 5K run & 1.5 mile walk! What a great event to benefit veterans🇺🇸🪖🎖️!

The evening began with our traditional Flag Day ceremonies. At 9pm, just shy of 100 participants of all ages took off for the run/walk🏃🏃‍♀️. 14 of the top 25 finishers were under the age of 18.

Following the race, our Exalted Ruler Bruce Mustread presented a check to American Legion Post 78 for the purchase of Honor Guard uniforms.

Many thanks to the participants, volunteers and sponsors for their role in this successful event!

In 1979, our Lodge established a charitable trust for the sole purpose of distributing scholarship awards to our members and their children. In 2026, the fund is awarding $28,000 to 14 students who will be enrolled in post high school studies at a technical school, community college, or university undergraduate program.

Pictured are graduating PTHS students Addison Harms, Hayden Francis, Morgan DeWald, Cayden Masching & Dylan Verdun who were honored during the school awards night earlier this month.

Others receiving awards are Kaylee Delheimer, Grace Rice, Bailey Masching, Aaron Verdun, Jake DeWald, Libby Larkin, Isaiah Robinson, Kendall Pitchford, & Kortney Harms.

Our Lodge’s annual May Basket delivery brought joy to the 333 residents in the local long term care facilities 🌺🌼!

Thanks to our members that gathered to create and assemble the baskets, fill with fresh flowers, and deliver to each individual.
