The next senior PPJHS YLA would like to recognize is our President Olivia Hanna. Olivia has been a member of YLA for 4 years, served as an Associate Justice, and attended Fall Con, MUN, YG, and Leadership Summit. She plans to attend WVU for Political Science and eventually Law School. She has completed a total of 342 hours of community service this year!

The 69th annual Youth in Government

This YLA chapter would like to individually thank the organization for organizing such an amazing conference. All 19 of our delegates proudly concur that they learned so much over these 3 days. We would also like to thank every student that worked to make these sessions possible.

We would also like to congratulate Hugo Gonzalez for being elected as House Clerk. This is a huge accomplishment for your very first conference and we are so proud of the work you put in. You will do amazing things.

The next senior we would like to shout out is our Vice President Kami Watson. Kami is attending West Virginia University for English and Political Science. She plans to attend law school in the future. She has also completed 164 hours of community service this year. Thank you for all you do, Kami!

Our first senior we’d like to recognize is Ryan Matheny. Ryan plans to attend Marshall University to major in biology. He has been in the club for 1 year and attended Fall Conference and Youth in Government, as well as completed an outstanding 50 hours of community service. Thank you for your contribution to the community, Ryan!

If you are in WV and will be 18 by November 3rd, 2026 you are eligible to vote in the primary! Register now and advocate for your rights as a student by voting for representatives who who reflect your views!

PPJHS will be holding a voters drive for students on March 6th during Sheild in the auditorium. Anyone 18 by the primary election is eligible to register! We hope to see you there 🇺🇸
