Camp Minsi Staff Alumnus Troy Brokenshire has written a book we know you will enjoy:

This project has been seven years in the making. It tells the story of a Pennsylvania Scout camp that began near the Delaware Water Gap and later found its permanent home at Lake Stillwater in the Poconos. The book follows more than a century of camp life, local history, leadership, outdoor adventure, and the people who helped make Camp Minsi what it is today.

Even if you were never a Scout, the story will appeal to anyone interested in local history, the Poconos, or the lasting impact one place can have on generations of people.

A portion of the proceeds will support the Minsi Trails Council Heritage Collection Committee and Venturing Crew 940. Online sales will be used to purchase hard copies to be sold at the Camp Minsi Trading Post and the Council Scout Shop.

New this year is, for an extra cost, you can have your Pack or Troop put on the back of the shirt. We are also offering a Camp Minsi 1/4 zip Fleece Jacket to order.

You can have your orders shipped to you or you can pick up at Camp when you arrive.

Orders are due by May 25th.

These items will not be available at the Trading Post so please share with your Scouts and leaders who are going to camp

Here are some important things coming up for Summer Camp

For Scouts, BSA Troops on April 1 at 9:00AM the Merit Badge and Activity Sign Up will open on BlackPug. You would go to your camp registration to do that.

For Minsi Trails Council Packs and Troops Campership applications are due April 1st to the Minsi Trails Council office.

If you need help in adding Scouts/Leaders or canceling Scouts/Leaders in your registration, please email [email protected].

By April 15 your second camp payment of $150 per scout is due. ($250 if they just signed up or you missed the February 15th payment of $100)

Is your Scout registered for STEM camp?

STEM Camp is open anyone in Scouts BSA. Each day Scouts choose a merit badge program to complete. For each day of STEM camp, Scouts can choose one colored box from each day. Prerequisite list is coming very soon. Scouts can come up for the day or stay with the other Scouts in STEM camp with staff providing supervision.

We have a number of new merit badges at STEM camp this year, including some patriotic additions for the America's 250th anniversary and the new Artificial Intelligence Merit badge.

Please note - we only allow Scouts 14 and up to complete Metalwork & Welding merit badges. Some merit badges have significant prerequisites. Also Scouts completing Veterinary Medicine can also complete Pets and Dog Care if they are able to complete the prerequisites with a pet beforehand.
