Monday we start!

FREE MEALS ALL SUMMER begin JUNE 1

June 1, 2026-July 31st: free grab and go meal bags will be passed out on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to children and teens in our community. Each bag contains 2 (M,W) or 3 (F) days worth of breakfast and lunch.

This work is made possible by PvilleYI's partnership with Knoxville Food Youth Initiative and St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.

PICK UP:

WHEN: JUNE 1- JULY 31 ON MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY

TIME: 11:30AM-12:30PM

WHERE: 104 S COLUMBUS ST PLEASANTVILLE, IA

ST PAUL’S UNITED METHODIST CHURCH FAMILY LIFE CENTER

A few things to keep in mind:

The first time you pick up food you must either bring your children or show a family photo of your children. You will then receive a car tag to keep for every time you pick up for the summer that will have listed on it the number of children you have so each child receives a food bag.

Please do not try to pick up early.

Sometimes the bags can be a little heavy. If your teen or child is walking to the church and needs to pick up for their siblings, please be sure to send them with a wagon or another way to get the bags home. Some days they can be a little heavy!

If we run out, we will try to make a post on our page as quickly as possible.

All food meets USDA summer meals program requirements and is distributed at 5 different sites in Marion County by Knoxville Youth Food Initiative.

If you have ANY questions or need to talk to us about this procedure, you can email us at [email protected]

Summer is BUSY. We hear it all the time! It can go by in a blink. So parents we want to challenge you: plan one outing with your teen this summer. More is great, of course. But just start with one. One afternoon fishing. One evening around a fire. One fireworks show. One day at the pool. Your teens might not be begging for your attention. They might roll their eyes when you tell them you’re going out. But we are 100% sure those moments will matter to them WAY more than they realize!
