🚨ATTN OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS 🚨
Sauk County is working on the master plan for the county forest between Spring Green and Lone Rock. Right now, there’s a few trails on the 600+ acres for public use such as hiking and horseback riding, along with a state funded snowmobile corridor trail.
As they create and update the master plan, they’ll be seeking more uses for this property. If you’re interested in enjoying this for hiking, walking, horseback riding, ATV/UTV trails, snowmobiling, public firewood cutting, etc.., you need to click on the survey link below and let them know what interests you!
DO NOT lay in the weeds and fail to express your interests. For example, if you’d like to see ATV/UTV trails or wood cutting and you fail to fill out the survey and be heard, your interests may not be included. PLEASE FILL OUT THE SURVEY ‼️County and state owned properties belong to us all. We need to stay involved with our local government to be sure we continue to make improvements and accommodations for all users. This property and trails can be shared by many outdoor groups. Please take a moment to fill out this survey for the purpose/use of the county forest located between Spring Green and Lone Rock. There’s a snowmobile trail on the property that connects our trail to Richland County. It would be great to keep this property for snowmobile use in the winter and develop a use for other seasons. Your feedback helps develop the Master Plan.
