🚚 Meanwhile, the Food Truck is headed to Po***ck Pines!

Tomorrow, Tuesday, August 25th, we’re bringing brunch to the Po***ck Pines Community Center, with meals available beginning at 10:00 AM.

On the menu:
🍞 French toast
🥚 Egg & sausage frittatas
🍈 Fresh cantaloupe

Come grab a meal, say hello, and enjoy a little good food and good company. ❤️

We’re grateful for the opportunity to bring the Upper Room out into our community and provide a meal for our neighbors.

🍽️ What can $360 do?

**It can feed 150 of your neighbors.**

Every evening, the Upper Room serves approximately 150 nutritious meals to people in our community.

But what we provide is about more than food.

It’s a warm welcome.
It’s dignity.
It’s connection.
And sometimes, it’s simply knowing that someone cared enough to make sure you had dinner.

For years, the Upper Room has been here **365 days a year**, serving seniors, veterans, families struggling to make ends meet, people experiencing homelessness, and anyone in our community who needs a meal.

Last year, our community helped us serve more than 125,000 meals!♥️

Now we're inviting businesses, organizations, churches, families, and individuals to **Reserve a Community Table.**

For $360, you can sponsor approximately 150 meals for one evening😍

You can reserve a table:

❤️ To celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or special occasion
❤️ To honor or remember someone you love
❤️ To celebrate a business milestone
❤️ To thank your employees, customers, or volunteers
❤️ As a gift for someone who has everything
❤️ Or simply because you believe your neighbors deserve a good meal.

You can sponsor one evening, reserve a table monthly, or make it an ongoing commitment.

And yes, we'll recognize our Community Table partners—but the best part of your sponsorship won't be a Facebook shout-out or a window cling.

**Meanwhile, at the Upper Room…** 👀

Where the coffee is hot, the conversations are unpredictable, somebody is always hungry, and somehow there is *always* something going on. 😂

But in between the meals, the chaos, the laughter, the work, and the “who left that there?” moments…there’s something pretty special happening.

People are showing up.
People are helping each other.
People are laughing.
People are finding their footing.
People are simply being together.

And honestly, those ordinary little moments are some of our favorite ones.

Here’s a little snapshot of this week at the Upper Room. ❤️

Well, the dogs and cats have officially learned that if they put out a plea at the Upper Room, somebody listens. 😂🐾

Thank you to the community members who brought in food, who have deliveries scheduled, who have ordered from our Amazon wishlist, and to El Dorado County Animal Services, who saw our post and showed up with a donation of their own!

It’s the kind of thing that makes us really grateful for the community around us. ❤️

🐾 **A VERY SERIOUS MATTER HAS COME TO OUR ATTENTION…** 🐾

The Upper Room has a few residents who have absolutely no interest in our budget, our expenses, or the current state of the economy.

They are concerned about one thing:

**DINNER.**

Specifically… **their dinner.** 😂

Our furry little Upper Room crew is putting out an official plea for **dog food and cat food.** Apparently, being cute, having soulful eyes, and hanging around the Dining Hall does NOT actually produce food.

Who knew?

So if your dog has decided he no longer likes the food you bought him…
If your cat has decided she is above the food currently in her bowl…
If you accidentally bought the wrong kind…
Or if you simply want to make a few very spoiled animals ridiculously happy…

**We will happily take it off your hands.** 🐶🐱❤️

Because around here, we believe **everybody deserves a meal.**

Even the ones who contribute absolutely nothing to the electric bill. 😂🐾
