🏊‍♀️💦 Families, Our New Swim Session Has Started! 💦🏊‍♂️

Our new swim lesson session started this week, and we are excited to see all of our swimmers back in the pool! 🎉

We do still have a few openings, so if you would like your child to join us, please reach out to us! 😊

Now that we are in the middle of storm season, we also want to give everyone a little reminder about how weather can affect swim lessons. 🌩️☔️

SAFETY ALWAYS COMES FIRST! ❤️

When lightning is within 10 miles of the pool, we are required to close the pool. ⚡️

The hard part is that storms are unpredictable. We cannot look at the weather and know for sure if we will have lessons that day.

Sometimes we may have to close one minute before lessons start.
Sometimes you may already be in the car on your way to the Y.
Sometimes you may even already be at the Y.

I know that can be frustrating, and I am sorry when it happens. ❤️

Please know that our goal is NEVER to cancel lessons. We want your kids in the pool, learning, swimming and having fun! 🏊‍♀️💦

But when lightning is close, we have to put safety first. Sometimes we just have to roll with Mother Nature! 🌦️

What happens if we miss lessons because of weather?

📅 We have one week at the end of the session set aside for make-up classes.

If we miss more than one week because of weather, we will most likely provide a refund for the additional missed class(es).

If you choose not to attend a class that is being held, that is considered an absence and we do not offer make-ups for personal absences.

Our Lakeshore delivery is here, our classroom is coming together, and we are officially READY for tomorrow!

We might’ve blinked a little too long because how was today our last swim lesson of the summer?? 🥹🏊‍♀️

We are so proud of all of our little swimmers and how much they’ve grown in confidence, comfort, and swimming skills throughout the summer!

A huge thank you to our amazing instructors for making each lesson fun, encouraging, and full of learning!

And remember, swim lessons are about so much more than learning to swim. They help children build confidence, learn important water-safety skills, and become safer and more comfortable around the water!

Keep practicing those skills, keep talking about water safety, and most importantly, always keep an eye on little swimmers around water! 🛟💙
