Pittsburgh Firefighters Christian Conference

This was a kickoff for our monthly meeting beginning in September 9:00 am, first Friday’s at the Union Hall. Great time of fellowship ! We heard from a few retired and active Firefighters. Concluded with prayer for our City and safety for our firefighters! Please join us.

Enjoyed being with our Stanwick Street community. Great connection and conversation! Hot meal, homemade desserts, sweet tea, lots of snacks , hygiene products, clothes and prayer! Thankful for the opportunity.

Another great night in Sharpsburg. Meeting old friends and making new ones!!!! Thank you Delta Dental for your donation of dental hygiene kits and City Hope Pittsburgh for coming to our rescue with extra food donations.

Today we delivered 9 trays of food to Unity from St. Paul of the Cross’! Including three large trays of pasta with meat sauce. Our friends are going to eat well tonight! 🍝

Serving the Sharpsburg community with Wilkinsburg Community Ministries has been a joy. Families greeted with great conversation, sweet tea, snacks and prayer while waiting to shop at the food truck.

Mobile Mission has made amazing friends! Our friend, Yuriy Martin has traveled 8 hours two weekends in a row just to spend some quality time with us. Now that’s dedication! We miss you, Yuri. Come back soon!

Every Thursday we feed the unhoused on Pittsburghs, Southside. This statement by The Light of Life Rescue Mission sums it up perfectly.

Perspective changes everything.

To some, this is just an underpass by the river.
To others, it’s where they sleep tonight.

Every week, our outreach team visits places like this to build trust, meet immediate needs, and remind people they haven’t been forgotten.

Homelessness is closer, more complicated, and more human than many people realize. The people living here are not stereotypes. They are fathers, mothers, veterans, sons, daughters, and neighbors who dream of a better life.

Awareness starts when we stop looking away.

Just delivered 6 (SIX!!!) trays of food from the St. Paul of the Cross’ Retreat Center to Unity on the Southside. Including one FULL tray of pasta! Our friends will be eating well this evening! 😋
