Aerospace and Space Exploration Focus
Richardson is known publicly as “Astronaut Starbright”, a title inspired by her admiration for Dr. Mae Jemison, the first Black woman in space. She has been a vocal advocate for greater representation of Black women and girls in aerospace and STEM, often highlighting the lack of diversity she encountered early in her own journey. Her advocacy includes public speaking, media appearances, and campaigns to increase access to space-related education and opportunities.
Let's give Taylor Richardson a round of applause. Thank you, Taylor!
