United Black Book Clubs of Pittsburgh UBBCP is an association of librarians, readers, and book clubs promoting literary activities and events.

Through an united effort, UBBCP was formed to promote literary activities and events, to provide community outreach programs and to spread the love of reading throughout the community. Although UBBCP officially formed in 2004, various books have collaborated to bring authors and spread literacy to Pittsburgh since 199

Just one week left to dance on down to CLP-Main and check out the Digital Community Collection exhibit! Check out digitized items from Pittsburgh residents just like you and learn about the communities from our past. The exhibit is on display in the 1st floor hallway gallery space. Come out to the Pgh Book Fest at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh (Main - Oakland) Saturday, May 30. The UBBCP will facilitate a Literacy Workshop. The workshop will open with a fun activity, Black Book Bingo, the history of literacy, banning/burning of books, and get your To-Go Literacy Kit. 2:30 pm. See you there.
