Scouts BSA Troop 945 visited Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village during their campout last weekend and fulfilled some of the requirements for Archaeology merit badge. Learning about experimental archaeology let Scouts try out an atlatl!

Venturing Crew 412 is featured in this month's issue of Scout Life magazine in the article "300 Miles to the Capital" about their 2025 high adventure trip cycling from Pittsburgh to DC.

Proud that our Lackawanna District participants and staff at Jamboree were a part of Elevate Hunger Relief!

What started as a goal to collect 20,000 food items at the 2026 National Jamboree turned into an incredible 93,000+ items collected, along with nearly $270,000 raised to fight hunger.

Thousands of Scouts, volunteers, staff, and community partners came together through Elevate Hunger Relief to support families and food banks across West Virginia and beyond. The initiative, created in partnership with AmeriCorps, gave Scouts a hands-on opportunity to put the Scout Oath and Scout Law into action through service and citizenship.

The impact won’t stop at the Jamboree, as Scouts are encouraged to continue supporting hunger-relief efforts through programs like Scouting for Food.
