Today, we kick off our first Pink Friday of June: Feed the Movement 🍽️

This June, we’re intentionally supporting Black-owned businesses and strengthening our communities one purchase at a time. Whether it’s breakfast at a local café, lunch from a food truck, dinner at a Black-owned restaurant, or supporting a beverage brand, every dollar makes an impact.

Advocacy in action. 💕💚

Today, the ladies of Alpha Delta Lambda Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® along with members from across the Great, Great Lakes and North Atlantic Regions for AKA Day at the Capitol in Harrisburg.

We came with purpose.

Our chapter focused on three critical issues impacting our communities:
▫️ Teen Su***de Prevention
▫️ Pennsylvania Promise
▫️ Voting Rights

Through direct advocacy, we drafted and hand-delivered letters to members of the Pennsylvania House and Senate, engaging in meaningful conversations about the challenges and opportunities surrounding these important issues.

Beyond the meetings, we had the opportunity to explore the Capitol, observe the legislative process firsthand, and attend insightful discussions on Black Maternal Health, Black Youth Su***de Prevention, affordability in Pennsylvania, housing, education, and economic equity.

Days like today remind us that service extends beyond our communities and into the halls where policies are shaped. We are proud to use our voices, our presence, and our collective power to advocate for meaningful change.
