Over the Winter, purchased a tool shed to keep our tools secure and accessible.

With the help of this florescent orange paint, we should be able to relocate any misplaced tools before they inadvertently get hidden under the leaves.

This isn't even half of the tools for our park, although personal tools won't be marked so they don't get stored in the wrong place.

Save the date: We'll be hosting the Trail Steward training day at Frick on April 26th.

The sign post for Dinky Bridge at Lancaster Ave had rotted out at the base and collapsed so we replaced the in-ground portion.

It only took about 5 minutes, so we were able to go for a hike clearing out drains and picking up trash along lower coaster and roller coaster to roller coaster extension trails. Despite the cool weather, turkeys, red tail hawks and squirrels were very active.

The trails were a playdough level of sticky mud, so we kept the hike short to prevent unnecessary damage. It'll probably be a week until the trails are dry enough not to leave a boot mark.

Hi all! I have a few of my framed and unframed prints of native plants and a trail map for sale! Wintergreen, spicebush, monkeyflower, mountain Laurel, rhododendron, Laurel Highlands hiking trail.

In case folks have been wondering what a former soap maker does after closing shop. I've been collecting clothing from seasonal jobs I've had.

Not pictured: uniform for making artwork, cat sitting, nor art class moderating.

It's been 2 years since I stopped production, moved my business out of a commercial production studio and a year since I finished selling the backstock. I still have a few supplies that I'm in no rush to find new homes for, but also not attached to. I miss making soap but I don't miss making thousands of bars weekly just to cover overhead and not quite pay myself fairly.

I don't regret any of the investment of having a small business as my full time job for 10 years, but I'm not where I thought I would be, either. While it's essential to contribute my labor to organizations that share my values, the current economy can seem smothering so I try to focus on living more clearly as a non consumer.
