Today’s memories are from this summer when Sisters Rute and Eunice visited our Sisters in the USA for two weeks. During their visit, Sister Janet took Sisters Rute and Eunice on a quick trip to Washington D.C. where they visited the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception—the largest Roman Catholic Church in North America and the nearby Saint Elizabeth Seton Shrine in Maryland. They were also enchanted by the pandas and other beautiful creatures of creation at the National Zoo.

When Sister Francine McDonald entered our Community 75 years ago, she “could not boil water.” But, God had different plans. This week, as Sisters and friends shared memories of Sisters Francine, many mentioned her delicious coconut macaroons. Today’s is a "Whitehall Franciscan" article from 2013 sharing a bit of the story behind the macaroons and Sister Francine’s ministry of hospitality and love. How is our Provident God calling you to nurture and care for your community?

We pray for Pope Leo XIV: As he continues to recover, may his strength be renewed, and may he feel peace despite uncertainty as he continues to care for his earthly body.
