🐏⚾️ PROUD OF THE RAMS 🐏⚾️
This year, Etna's co-ed instructional team played baseball from late March to late October, and I could not be prouder of these players and their families. We had 30 different players join our team and each had a chance to experience the game. Through three seasons (spring, summer, fall), 40 games, 22 formal practices, and countless days of catch - our players improved so much. Now, they're ballplayers. Not that it is all about the record, but we went 3-13 in the spring season and then we improved to 10-4 this fall. And really, the kids didn't know the score most of the time - they just kept going out and giving their best.
These parents / guardians/ grandparents - how much time and effort they've given to their kids. Shout out to the super moms. Your kids will remember these days.
Thank you to EBAC Baseball and Softball, Josh and Rich, Borough of Etna, Public Works, and Etna Borough Police Department. Dougherty Field is the best field in the area, thanks to all the hands who keep it operating well, well maintained, and boy do those field lights come in handy.
I am very proud to be Etna’s mayor, but being a coach to our young kids feels just as important. Shout out to all the youth coaches, assistant coaches, bench parents, score keepers, concession stand workers, and everyone who helps out with youth sports. Keep doing this important work!
