100+ Women Who Care Pittsburgh Making an impact in the lives of those living in the Greater Pittsburgh area.

WHO ARE 100 WOMEN WHO CARE?

100 Women Who Care was started in November of 2006 by Karen Dunigan of Jackson, Michigan, as a brilliantly simple way to raise money efficiently and quickly for local charities. Her group of 100 women, at their first one-hour meeting, each wrote a check for $100 directly to the charity, raising $10,000 to buy 300 new baby cribs for an organization in their city. Since

then, they have grown to over 200 members and Women Who Care chapters are forming all over North America. These groups collectively have donated more than a million dollars to locally based organizations. HOW IT ALL WORKS..

*We give away $10,000 in 1 hour.
*We put the charities in a hat, We pull three names and hear about them, and we select 1 cause to receive 100 $100 checks!!
*We meet for one hour, four times a year, and each member brings a check for $100.
*Every member can nominate local charities, non-profits, or worthy causes.
*Three names are drawn at random at each meeting.
*A 100 Women Who Care member makes a 5-minute presentation about each cause.
*We all vote on which cause to support.

BIG NEWS PITTSBURGH 📣

In case you haven't heard the news, we are thrilled to share that our giving circle has officially passed $500,000 in monetary donations to local charities!

Half. A. Million. Dollars.
All poured straight into our community by women who simply care deeply and show up with generosity, heart, and purpose.

And the best part? ✨ We’re just getting started. ✨

Here’s to even more giving, more community, and many, many more years of lifting up the nonprofits that make Pittsburgh stronger.

Celebrating 10 Years of Women Like YOU! 🎉

This year, 100+ Women Who Care Pittsburgh is celebrating a huge milestone — 10 years of giving, connection, and community impact!

Thanks to the generosity of all our members, we’ve surpassed $500,000 in donations — supporting dozens of incredible nonprofits across our region.

To mark this special anniversary, we’re hosting a birthday celebration and fundraising event on Tuesday, December 2nd, and you’re invited!

Event Highlights:

🎨 Guided painting activity – create your own masterpiece

🍴 Complimentary light bites & snacks

🧁 Birthday cupcakes (of course!)

🍸 Cash bar

🎟️ Tickets: $50

Proceeds help cover the annual operating costs of our all-volunteer giving circle — so every dollar helps us keep doing more.
