The Summer Hill Citizens Committee (SHCC) is the official neighborhood group representing citizens of Pittsburgh's upper North Side neighborhood of Summer Hill. The SHCC meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month, with exception to May, June, July, & August, at 6:30 p.m. We will meet in person or virtually. Please contact us here on Facebook if you have not given us your email address. All residents & those having businesses within the Summer Hill neighborhood are welcome.

Hi guys! We live in the 4100 block of Evergreen Road - there is a half circle drive just up from our house - last summer it wasn’t mowed and we are not sure who is responsible for that - any clues?

We are providing gloves, trash bags, grabbers, buckets, and reflective vest.

The Pittsburgh Department of Public Works has moved yard debris collection up a week to Saturday, April 18, 2026.

To ensure pickup:
✔️ Set items out before 6 AM
✔️ Use paper bags only
✔️ Tie and bundle branches properly
⚠️ Non-compliant debris will not be collected

Damar Hamlin said he remembers how important receiving a scholarship that helped him attend Central Catholic High School was to his future.

Without it, he may have never gone on to play football at the University of Pittsburgh and the NFL, start a charity and become a businessman.

The McKees Rocks native who plays safety for the Buffalo Bills returned to Central Catholic on Monday, where he announced that his Chasing M’s Foundation would offer 10 scholarships of $1,000 annually to qualified students from the Squirrel Hill high school as well as five $1,000 scholarships to any Pittsburgh-area high school student who plans to attend a trade or vocational school.

For too long, abandoned vehicles have taken up space in our neighborhoods.

Starting this week, Pittsburgh Police are leading a citywide effort to clear them out, making room for residents and improving the look and safety of our streets.

Removal criteria:
• 90+ days expired registration/inspection
• 48+ hours unattended
• Inoperable or unregistered
• Safety hazard
