Don't miss the annual Blackridge July 4th Bike Parade! It starts at 9:45 AM on Friday, July 4, 2025. Meet at the corner of Collins Road and Williamsburg Place. Wear your red, white and blue, decorate your bike, wagon, stroller, or your pet! Meet the Churchill Fire Department.We will walk to the park for refreshments and fun! If you'd like to donate food, or help with the refreshments, please call Ceil Greber at 412-247-5828.

🏊‍♀️ Ever wondered how the pool is run behind the scenes? 🧪🪄 Besides our fantastic staff and dedicated certified pool operator, it’s managed entirely by a volunteer board! From budgeting to event planning, our nonprofit swim club relies on members like you to keep things flowing. 🌊

Optional evening practices will also be held this week on Monday and Wednesday at 7:30 PM. Swimmers should come ready to swim with suits, goggles, and towels.

Thank you to all our Blackridge friends and families who came out to celebrate Opening Weekend with us at the pool! In true Pittsburgh fashion, we somehow pulled off a perfect 70-degree sunny day just in time for our Memorial Day picnic—it was a beautiful kickoff to the season, and we loved seeing everyone back at the pool! 🇺🇸☀️ 🏊⛱️

Today, however, the weather reminded us who’s boss. One day it’s summer, the next it’s sweatshirt season—and to top it off, power outages in the area have forced us to close for the day.

If you still still need to purchase a 2025 membership, please check out the website ASAP! Only 10 memberships are left for the season ⏰🚨‼️

Memorial Day Picnic 🇺🇸☀️🧺

The countdown is on! Summer is almost here, and we’re kicking things off with our Memorial Day Picnic on Monday, May 26th at 4:00 PM!

BSC will provide burgers, hot dogs, and pop/water. We ask each family to bring a side dish to share. Cost: $5 per person or $10 per family.

Optional swim team practices will begin the week of June 2nd on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7:30 PM

Further details regarding practice schedules will be sent to swim team members after registration is completed.

There will also be a New Parent Swim Team Meeting on Monday at 7:15 PM—just before practice—by the pool pavilion. If you’re new to the team or have questions, this is a great opportunity to learn more!

Thinking about joining the Blackridge Swim Team? Now is the perfect time! 🏊🌞

The Blackridge Barracudas are part of the ESA summer swimming league and our team is open to all swim club members ages 5 through seniors in high school. Swim team is an awesome way for kids to stay active, build confidence, and make great friends all summer long!

The team practices on weekday mornings throughout the summer, and we also offer multiple evening practice options for busy families.

Blackridge Swim Club wants to hear from YOU!

We’re gearing up for another amazing summer, and we’d love your input on our activity lineup!

Last year, we kept things fun with teen nights, family swim nights, a potluck dinner, a swim team raft party and banquet, ice cream sundaes on Sundays, beach blanket bingo, a wine tasting event, adult appetizer night, the Kona Ice truck, and of course our Memorial Day and Labor Day picnics.

Now’s your chance to help shape the fun—what should stay, what should go, and what new ideas should we dive into?

Drop your suggestions in the comments or shoot us a message. Also just a reminder: the event coordinator position, along with several other board roles, are still open for the season. If you’ve ever wanted to get involved behind the scenes (or know someone who would be great), we’d love to have you on board!
