Barrels by the Bay

🌎💧 Happy World Rivers Day! 🌊

Today, we celebrate the rivers, streams, and waterways that connect our communities and sustain life around the world. But protecting our water resources starts long before water reaches a river.

One simple way we can all make a difference is with a rain barrel. 🌧️💦

Rain barrels capture rainwater from rooftops, keeping some stormwater out of streets and storm drains while providing a free source of water for gardens and plants. By slowing down runoff, rain barrels can help reduce erosion and the amount of pollutants carried into our local waterways.

At Barrels by the Bay, we believe that education is just as important as conservation. For the past 10 years, we've worked with students and communities to turn recycled barrels into works of art while teaching the next generation about water, conservation, and the importance of protecting our rivers.

🌱 Every drop matters. Every river matters. And every one of us can play a part in protecting our water.
