Bigger Than Sports Corporation Dedicated to empowering student-athletes in lower-income communities to reach their full potential.

Our mission at Bigger Than Sports is to empower student-athletes in lower-income communities to reach their full potential. We achieve this by providing the resources and guidance needed to create and execute comprehensive plans for life after high school. We work in schools located in communities with the highest poverty and lowest educational attainment rates. Bigger Than Sports addresses this i

ssue by harnessing the power of sports and transforming high school sports teams into cohorts focused on the path to success. Upperclassmen on each team undergo our Bigger Than Sports curriculum, where a Career Pathway Navigator will work with them directly to broaden their perspective and create a thorough post-high school plan. This plan can include trade school, higher education, the workforce, or anything they are passionate about. Our goal is to help these promising, young people find a purpose and then do everything we can to assist them in fulfilling it. Bigger Than Sports utilizes the empowering force of education and sports to uplift communities and break the cycle of poverty.

Bigger Than Sports life update!

We’re so proud of our student-athletes at Atlantic Community High School and Boynton Beach Community High School for completing their self-discovery path in the BTS program in collaboration with .co

In the fall, they’ll start the applications lab, where they’ll work with our mentors to take tangible steps toward the goals they’ve set this spring.

And special shoutout to a dream come true: x Bigger Than Sports.

A note from Ian about this experience:
I went back in my notes and on June 17th, 2024, I wrote “Connect with Lamar Jackson” on my to do list. Yesterday we officially got to cross it off. It feels like just yesterday it was 2024 and I was brainstorm dreaming in the car with Emma about what Bigger Than Sports could be and who would be open to supporting us. Flash forward to our last day of programming in our first pilot year in the school system and he’s right there cheering us on.

Through mentorship, education, and individualized guidance, we help student-athletes in underserved communities create a plan for what’s next and step confidently into their future.
