We’re honored that The Open Door, Inc. was highlighted as a best-practice program in a recent report from the Pennsylvania State Epidemiological Outcomes Workgroup examining housing access for people who use drugs across Pennsylvania.
The report emphasizes the importance of low-barrier housing programs that meet people where they are without requiring sobriety as a condition of shelter.
For over 20 years, The Open Door has provided supportive housing and services for people living with HIV who are experiencing housing instability. Our transitional housing program combines stability with supportive services so residents can move toward long-term housing, improved health, and greater independence.
We’re proud to be included among programs advancing low-barrier housing solutions that prioritize dignity, safety, and stability.
