Steel City Softball League

Steel City Softball League The Steel City Softball League (SCSL Pittsburgh, Inc.), is a 501(c)(3) organization, and your donations are tax-deductible as charitable giving.

The Steel City Softball League began in 1981 and remains the longest-running LGBTQ+ sports organizations in the Pittsburgh area. The league provides an atmosphere for individuals to be themselves without fear of discrimination and is open to all members and friends of the LGBTQ+ community of Pittsburgh. Throughout the years many friendships have been formed and athletes have been created. The SCSL

provides members of the community that love softball, athletics, and camaraderie a chance to build their skills, develop friendships, and grow as individuals.

Hi all - status update:

- Dan Isaac’s field survived the weather - Field looks good and C/D games are on for noon start time.

- Kenny Field is being evaluated and worked on - next update ETA 1 hour.

- Picnic is still on, food/drinks will begin to be served around 11:00 AM. Please everyone come out and enjoy food and drinks and socialize - we have the entire indoor social hall to enjoy each other’s company.

We’re looking for teams to represent our league SCSL in the Buckeye Classic in Columbus, Ohio, May 2 - 3 2026.

This is a very fun tournament. Columbus has the premier softball complex in the country with 32 turf fields. This is also where the 2026 World Series will be played as well.

Please, talk to your teams and seriously consider going to this tournament. Follow the link below for tournament, hotel and free gent information.
