A moment of immense pride for our Telugu community and for everyone associated with NTR Charitable Foundation, Pittsburgh.

*Dr. Dattatreyudu Nori* garu has been honoured with the *Padma Bhushan*, one of India’s highest civilian awards. This recognition celebrates not only his pioneering contributions to cancer care, but also his extraordinary service to people from all walks of life — from global leaders to beloved film icons.

Over the decades, Dr. Nori garu became the trusted doctor for many VIPs across India. His groundbreaking treatment for former President *Neelam Sanjiva Reddy*, his life‑changing care for *Yash Chopra’s wife*, his compassionate treatment of indian actress *Sridevi* garu, and his dedicated care for one of the legendary actor *Akkineni Nageswara Rao* garu reflect a career defined by excellence, humility, and service. Even when offered immense wealth, he chose service over reward — a true embodiment of medical ethics and humanity.

In his reflections, Dr. Nori garu also recalled the emotional turning point that led to the creation of *Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital* — fulfilling Basavatarakam amma garu’s wish and transforming cancer care in India.

From its foundation in 1988 to becoming one of India’s top cancer hospitals, his vision has touched countless families. His guidance continues to inspire us as we work toward expanding world‑class cancer care, including the upcoming Amaravati Cancer Hospital.
