I can finally provide a bittersweet update to our wonderful supporters and donors. Since we paused our operations in 2019, a lot has changed. While the challenges of building and SUSTAINING a more just and equitable world are ever present, we are so proud of our efforts to educate and empower youth to end relationship violence. For over 10 years, I volunteered with a dedicated group of partners and staff who I am so lucky to call allies and friends. Thank you to the many who have served on our Board of Directors, our friends at PULSE Pittsburgh who staffed our Prevention Team for many years, Suzie Hull for leading us during our last two years of operations, and all the donors and additional volunteers that made our work possible! I am here for you as you have been here for me and this work to which I dedicated my time and efforts.

Now for the sweet - Women's Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh is again leading prevention efforts in western Pennsylvania! Our organization transferred our assets to WC&S to further our work (and their work!) to end intimate partner violence. With this donation to WC&S, we will formally close our doors at 3E Now and will offer our full support to the team at WC&S. We hope you will do so, too. Information on this is available below.

I want to thank my late mother, Joyce McAneny, and my father, Pete McAneny, for empowering me to fight for others every day, as well as my wonderful wife and partner, Melissa Jackson, for your support and your own work to make this organization so impactful.

To a more peaceful world,

Chris McAneny

What a great year it has been with Alex Auyeung, our PULSE Fellow and Director of Programming. Among other tasks, he was responsible for writing and implementing curriculums at eight of our partners this year.

Schools, nonprofit organizations, and shelters have widely commended his passion for eliminating violence and inequality. They applaud the impact he has made on their students, many of whom have adopted more tolerant mindsets, begun acting truer to themselves, or taken steps to improve their own relationships.

As Alex's term with PULSE comes to end, we acknowledge the contribution he has made to our mission. Thank you for everything Alex, and best of luck in your future endeavors!

"Throughout this semester we had multiple guest speakers and the one that I found the most beneficial and influential to me personally was Mr. Alex from 3E Now."

"I am now more open minded. I will use this information to recognize certain situations and be less judgmental, and possibly help out friends who are in abusive relationships."

Check out some responses from our students at Allderdice!

In May, we led two weeks of programming at Allderdice High School. We covered a range of topics relating to dating abuse: Front view of A...

"I'd have students coming into my office wondering if their partner is abusive. They’d often refer to stuff discussed in your class. 'I didn’t like it when he checked in on me all the time, or said this hurtful thing to me, but I didn’t realize I could call it wrong.'"

Debbie Krochka, Director of Counseling at the Neighborhood Academy, discusses our impact on her students. Find out about young boys learning to express their emotions, about teens coming to terms with their identities, and about students becoming proactive in their relationships. Find out about students changing their views towards a healthier, respectful, and empowered life.

3E Now’s program at the Neighborhood Academy (TNA) lasted from February 5th to May 4th. Alex, our Director of Programing, led two classes...
