We host on-site walks in Erie, Harrisburg, Laurel Highlands (Altoona/Johnstown), Lehigh Valley (Allentown/Easton), Pittsburgh & Wilmington, Delaware. Highmark underwrites the cost of the Walk for a Healthy Community so that 100 percent of the money raised by walkers goes to the participating organizations. The primary goal of the walk is to help participating organizations raise money for their in
dividual missions. Since the walk’s inception in 2003, more than 10 million dollars has been raised for nearly 400 organizations that participate. The secondary goal of the walk is to energize community members to have a greater hand in their health by becoming or staying physically active. In 2015, 80 local health and human services agencies will be participating in this event. DISCLAIMER:
