Since 1880, Three Rivers Youth (TRY) has been serving abused, neglected, runaway and homeless youth and their families in Western Pennsylvania. A private non-profit agency, TRY provides a spectrum of educational, vocational, residential, outpatient and in-home programs to youth who are victims of physical and sexual abuse, neglect, abandonment, school failure, early pregnancy and drug and alcohol use.

Three Rivers Youth is honored to share that our President & CEO, Peggy B. Harris, has been honored by the New Pittsburgh Courier as a standout nonprofit leader in Pittsburgh.
The New Pittsburgh Courier’s select list of 25 nonprofit leaders recognizes those who are visionary changemakers, transforming and strengthening the Pittsburgh community through dedication, passion and service.
Serving for 25 years as Three Rivers Youth’s President & CEO, Ms. Harris, has successfully lead the organization through dramatic changes in child welfare services and deepened the agency’s community impact by expanding its services to address the root causes of family distress, child welfare involvement, and struggling adults: trauma, addiction, mental illness, and obstacles to achieving the social determinants of long-term health and well-being.

Pop Up Event: Soar Through Recovery

Join us on September 14th from 10:30 am-3:30 pm at 6117 Broad St. in East Liberty to soar through Recovery Month. Three Rivers Youth, in partnership with the Allegheny County Health Department, will host a pop-up event with community-based service providers from around the County who will be there to share resources and answer questions about outpatient drug and alcohol treatment services.

Enjoy activities, food, refreshments, and complimentary personal hygiene bags and other lifesaving giveaways like naloxone!
