67 Counties, 21 Councils, 5 Months, 1 Celebration! 🇺🇸⚜️

Travel along the journey with the American Flag as it was hoisted above all 67 counties in celebration of America's 250th Birthday! Flags Across PA in conjuction wtih Lite to Unite was a project that brought together our Scouts, volunteers, the Pennsylvania Sheriff's Assocation, civic leaders, Scouting professionals, and many community members.

Fantastic things happen when we all work together for a common goal! Special thanks to each of the Scout Councils who took the time to participate and help move the Flags across our great state of Pennsylvania! 👏

A New Opportunity to Serve Through Scouting

The Duty to God Committee is a new committee within LHC, and we’re looking for volunteers who are passionate about helping Scouts grow in faith, character, and service.

The committee will meet just four times a year via Zoom. Join us for our initial meeting on Tuesday, August 25th at 7 PM to learn more about the committee, its purpose, and how you can help make a difference.

📣 CourageCon Registration is a Little Different This Year!

We're making CourageCon registration work more like summer camp—and we're excited about it!

Here's how it works:
📅 Now – September 1
Units will log in and place a $25 deposit along with an estimate of how many Scouts they expect to attend.

📅 Starting October 1
Families using the Parent Portal will be able to log in to finalize their registration, pay their balance, and sign up for classes.

This means families will have more control over their individual registration and class selections while units can get a head start on planning.

Scouting is for everyone, and Heritage Reservation was proud to welcome Troop 89, a Special Needs Troop from Maryland, and Troop 1870, chartered out of the West Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind, for an incredible week of summer camp.

From merit badges and hands-on activities to UTV rides, outdoor adventures, campfires, and fellowship, these Scouts embraced every opportunity to learn, challenge themselves, and have fun.

An interpreter was present throughout the week to support Scouts from Troop 1870, helping ensure they could fully participate in the camp experience alongside their fellow Scouts.

Their enthusiasm, determination, and willingness to try new things made a lasting impression on our staff and fellow campers. We are grateful to the leaders, volunteers, families, interpreters, and camp staff who helped make this experience possible.

Most importantly, thank you to the Scouts of Troop 89 and Troop 1870 for bringing your energy, laughter, and Scouting spirit to Heritage Reservation. We hope to see you back at camp for many more adventures!
