Like to w**d or plant?
Call for volunteers for Friday evening and Saturday morning from Greenfield’s public Space committee. This garden is at the bottom of Greenfield Ave at the big intersection where you would turn off to go into Hazelwood or The Run. Tools and gloves are provided. (If you go Friday evening they may bring less tools so it could be good to bring your own w**d digger or trowel if you have one.)
“This Friday at 7PM, we will meet at Irvine to prep the garden for the planting the next morning.
We would like to have enough people to work on the perennial plants behind the fence. So if you have children who would like to help, this would be a good chance for them to help.
Then on Saturday morning at 9AM, we will meet to plant the flowers and put mulch over them. The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy sponsors our gardens and brings the flowers, planting tools and buckets for the mulch. We will have coffee and light refreshments.
If you drive down, there is limited parking space on the grounds depending upon where the mulch is dumped.
We need as many people as possible to make the work go smoothly and quickly.
Thank you all for your interest in assisting public spaces in Greenfield.”
