The Bradley Center implements the Sanctuary Model of Trauma Informed Care developed by Dr. Sandra Bloom. Sanctuary is a treatment and organizational model that is based on understanding trauma. Every staff and resident in care focus on"SELF" - Safety (physical, psychological, social and moral), Emotion management, Loss (traumatic experiences and separation), and the Future (how can things get bett

er?). All members of the Bradley community develop their own Safety Plan to assist them if they are feeling stressed or potentially out-of-control. Staff and residents meet at least twice per day for Community Meeting where feelings are identified, goals for the day are set, and everyone identifies whom they can ask for support in obtaining their goal. Bradley has earned the quality distinction of accreditation by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. It is also licensed by the Pennsylvania Departments of Education and Welfare. Bradley's Vision is to be recognized nationally by families, communities and professionals as a premier behavioral healthcare, education and child welfare organization that promotes the physical, social, emotional, educational and spiritual growth of the children, youth and families that it serves.

Bradley students recently visited the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden to help enhance the Therapeutic Horticulture Garden Space. 🌱

They assembled garden trellises and planted the first seedlings in the raised garden beds. Their hard work helped prepare the space for summer visitors.

The experience gave Bradley students the opportunity to connect with nature, work together and contribute to a community space that will be enjoyed for months to come.🌻

📣Meet Andi Corona!📣 Andi is one of Bradley’s School-Based Mental Health Therapists and has been a part of the Bradley community since 2014.

She earned her BA in Psychology with a clinical concentration from Boston College and her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Christian Counseling concentration from Franciscan University of Steubenville. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). 🎓

As a school-based therapist, Andi works with students of all ages. 🩵 She values the opportunity to provide mental health services through a child’s school district, which helps reduce the financial, time and transportation barriers many families face when trying to access outpatient support.

One of Andi’s favorite parts of her work is creating a welcoming therapeutic space for students. Her space includes soft lamp lighting, colorfully painted walls, different seating options, and plenty of fidgets to help navigate difficult conversations.

Outside of work, Andi’s three Maine C**n cats keep her and her family laughing every day! 🐾

If you’d like to support Andi and our entire School-Based Mental Health program, you can shop our outpatient Amazon Wishlist here: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1FYKTNTZ9MJ62?ref_=wl_share

Summer is almost here, and we had the perfect Hawaii-themed birthday party with our friends at ! 🌺🏖️☀️

We celebrated our residents and day school students who have birthdays in May and June with games, cupcakes and sand art.

A huge thank you to Bev’s and our wonderful Lunova Group volunteers for making our kids feel so celebrated and supported. As a special treat, we also got to celebrate our lead Teachers Assistant, Mr. Jeff, on his birthday! 🧁
