Congratulations CJ Goodwin on an incredible 12-year NFL career! 🏈👏

CJ’s journey is one of the greatest success stories to ever come through the Mel Blount Youth Leadership Initiative. He began as a counselor, mentoring the young people in our program while chasing his own dream.

When he asked for an opportunity, Mr. Mel made a call to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and CJ did the rest. He seized the moment, never looked back, and built an extraordinary NFL career defined by hard work, perseverance, and character.

Today, we celebrate not only the player, but the man he has become. CJ represents everything our mission stands for—leadership, service, resilience, and the power of giving back.

We are incredibly proud of you, grateful to have been a small part of your journey, and excited to see what this next chapter holds.

The 2026 Youth Summit was an incredible day of learning, exposure, and inspiration for the next generation. From career exploration and technology demonstrations to leadership development and hands-on experiences, our goal was to open doors and expand possibilities for young people.
