From our Friends at the New Hazlett Theater and Demaskus Theater Collective

Othello of the End Zone, or The Steel City Tragedy

Step onto the 50-yard line for the New Hazlett’s first-ever co-production with DEMASKUS Theater Collective: Othello of the End Zone, or The Steel City Tragedy. Written by Franky D. Gonzalez, directed by Shaunda Miles McDill, and starring Cynthia Dallas and Michael Patrick Trimm, this high-stakes modern reimagining brings Shakespeare to the Northside stage. When Imani Othello is named Head Coach of America's most beloved football franchise, the pressure mounts on and off the field. This hard-hitting adaptation centers a Black woman calling the plays at the height of her power as she confronts ambition, betrayal, and relentless doubt.

We’ve been having such a great time getting to know ATC’s newest members! 🎭✨

There’s something special about watching young artists find their confidence, try new things, and start building the theatrical foundations they’ll carry with them throughout their time at ATC.

From the basics of performance to finding your voice, working as an ensemble, and learning what it means to truly commit to the work, we’re excited to help our newest artists grow into stronger, more confident performers.

And trust us… they’re just getting started! 👀🔥

Welcome to ATC, y’all. We can’t wait to see where this journey takes you! ❤️🖤
