​Join NOMA Pittsburgh as we launch our 3rd Annual Gallery Exhibition during Pittsburgh Architecture Week. This year, we are shining a spotlight on the work, voices, and collaborative partnerships reshaping our local communities, non profits, and built environments across the region.

Hello there, Community!

We are all familiar with the many different stresses of our careers in the architecture industry. We spend a lot of time coaching ourselves through the nuances and the demands of this profession, but do we ever hold conversations about these issues at a community scale? NOMA Pittsburgh’s Conversations in Color speaker series would like to approach a discussion about mental health in the design profession and what things we can do to support ourselves and support each other as we each navigate our careers and diverse backgrounds.

This will be a panel discussion featuring our guest panelists dedicated to questions of mental health and stress management within the design field.

We took Project Pipeline to the streets of the Strip District this spring.

​We wanted to get out from behind the screens and really look at the city we are building in. We spent the day walking, sketching, and talking through the history of the neighborhood. More importantly, we got to watch these students start to see the built environment from a different lens.

​It is one thing to talk about design in a classroom, but it is another to see the aha moment when a student realizes they have a perspective on the city that is worth capturing.

Tomorrow is NOMA PGH Day 2026, and we will host a panel conversation and networking event. Past leaders will discuss the history, legacy and future of our chapter.
